Agree that you are sitting for a GD because you want a job and it is applicable to the whole group. But group discussions are not organized to check your competitiveness. They want to see how you behave in the group and talk. You have to pay attention to yourself, but not by anyone.
Being a leader does not mean that you speak during the discussion or order others. Being a leader means giving everyone the right opportunity to inspire others to get involved in the discussion, and most importantly, start with.
A good leader moves along with others instead of walking ahead of others. For example, instead of speaking at all times, ask at least interactive speaker to give their opinion. Ensure that everyone involved in the discussion is included and the points discussed are relevant.
